NYC GPS travel data

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

I carried a GPS around with me as we walked the mean streets of Manhattan. According to the device, we walked over 20 miles each day on Friday and Saturday. Althought I think that number is a bit inflated (the tall buildings confused the GPS), it probably isn’t that far off. We were on our feet for at least ten hours a day.

Here is our tracks from motoring down the Li River, from Xingping to Yangdi. We were on the river about three hours. Near the start of the track (in the South) is where the picture from the back of the 20 RMB note is from.
